Having worked on more than 15 developments over the years, the Pinefield team has built a long-standing relationship with Cala and is currently supporting its Woodhurst at Oldfold Village development in Milltimber and Craibstone developments in Aberdeen.
We recently spoke with Scott Bremner, Construction Manager at Cala, to discuss the partnership and the impact Pinefield Glass continues to have across its projects and customers.
How long have you worked with Pinefield Glass?
“I personally have worked with the team at Pinefield for more than 12 years now. Pinfield is a key contractor for Cala as the service we receive is consistent and efficient – from receiving tender returns right through to the final installation on site.
“The team at Pinefield is always available to help us with queries and provide support to our customers when required.”
How has Pinefield’s products or services contributed to improvements in quality, efficiency or client satisfaction?
“We have been working with Pinfield Glass for many years to develop a new system where the windows arrive on site already fitted within the timber kit, which we now use on most of our builds.
“This has made a significant difference across our developments. Not only does it make the installation process safer by reducing manual handling, but it also reduces the risk of damage during installation and helps speed up the overall build programme.
“At the current Woodhurst development, where we have used this new window fitting method, the entire process has become much easier and quicker, which has been a great advantage to the wider site team.”
How would you describe your working relationship with the Pinefield Glass team?
“The working relationship between Pinfield and Cala is consistently positive. Both parties understand the challenges involved in building homes and share the same ethos of putting customers’ needs first.”
