Crafting innovation for your new-build projects

By offering windows pre-fitted in the factory, rather than on site, we reduce disruption, cut labour costs and dramatically speed up build schedules.

Additionally, because the windows are integrated into the wall panels at ground level, the need for installers to work at height is significantly reduced, improving safety on site and lowering risk. This is how modern construction should be: smarter, safer and more efficient.

Why choose the InSite system?

As the construction industry continues to shift toward off-site manufacturing and modern methods of construction, systems like InSite are becoming increasingly important.

They bring more certainty to the build process, help reduce the reliance on site-based labour, and support safer, more efficient delivery models. For developers and manufacturers working with timber-frame panels, the InSite approach offers a clear step forward.

If you’re considering InSite for a timber-frame or off-site construction project, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Reduced on-site work

InSite removes much of the complexities of window installation on site. Because the windows are factory-fitted, there’s less on-site labour and fewer follow-up visits, meaning your project runs smoother.

Faster weather tightening

Once your prefabricated wall panels arrive on site, the building can be made wind and weather-tight much earlier in the build process - which helps downstream trades start sooner and reduces risk.

Transport efficiency

With the window recessed into the wall panel, panels can be stacked flush for transport. That’s less wasted space and lower transport costs, an important saving on large projects.

Enhanced safety

Installing completed windows in the factory greatly reduces the need for working at height on site, improving safety for everyone involved.

Thermal performance

Our InSite windows use high-performance frame systems, allowing us to achieve high thermal efficiency, helping meet or exceed regulatory requirements.

Fire & smoke protection

The InSite system is the only window-in-panel solution for timber-frame construction that has been fully tested, certifying that when all approved components are used together, it offers protection for both fire and smoke spread in accordance with accepted building standards.

Technical details & benefits

The InSite solution is fully compatible with industry-recognised window systems, including Eurocell Logik and Modus, which we manufacture and factory-fit specifically for off-site integration. These systems deliver excellent thermal performance, achieving strong U-values depending on the chosen glazing specification and profile,  with window U-values as low as 0.8.

All components are designed to meet relevant UK building regulations – including requirements for thermal efficiency, fire safety and structural performance, and are approved for use in accordance with NHBC guidelines.

This makes InSite particularly well suited to new-build housing developments, modular and off-site construction, as well as timber-frame panel projects where speed, accuracy and compliance are essential.

How it works

  1. Factory assembly (Pinefield Glass): We manufacture your windows in Elgin, glazing and fitting them with the InSite fixing clip, and install the required cavity barriers, seals and fire-rated components when needed.
  2. Panel fit (Timber-frame / panel manufacturer): These windows are then installed into timber-frame or structural wall panels in the factory.
  3. Delivery (Panel manufacturer / housebuilder): The completed panels, windows fitted and protected, are transported to your site.
  4. Site installation (Housebuilder): Once the panels are erected, the windows are pushed out from the inside, plumbed into position, then locked off and sealed.
  5. Cladding & finish (Housebuilder): After locking and sealing, external cladding is applied and internal finishes can commence.

Why Pinefield Glass is your ideal InSite partner

Pinefield Glass brings local expertise, operating from Elgin with a deep understanding of the Scottish construction market, from Inverness to Aberdeen and across the region. Unlike suppliers who only provide glass, we manufacture complete window systems in-house, giving us full control over quality, enabling precision fabrication and ensuring consistent results on every project.

Our service is truly end-to-end, supporting you through design considerations, regulatory compliance, U-value performance and installation planning. We work closely with your timber-frame manufacturer, construction partner or homebuilder to coordinate factory-fitted windows, streamline logistics, minimise risk and help deliver projects more efficiently.

How is InSite different from traditional window installation?

Traditionally, windows are installed on site after the building structure is in place. With InSite, windows are already factory-fitted into wall panels before delivery to site. This removes the need for separate installation teams, reduces time spent on-site and helps make the building weather-tight much sooner.

What types of windows can be used with InSite?

We supply and manufacture Eurocell Logik and Modus window systems, both of which are fully compatible with InSite. These systems allow a wide range of sizes, glazing options, and performance levels, including double and triple glazing.
