Since 2013, Pinefield Glass has partnered with Brudon Joinery, a Lumphanan-based joinery manufacturer and building contractor specialising in bespoke timber windows, doors, timber frame packages and large-scale building projects throughout Scotland.
Brudon Joinery has built a reputation for its expertise in timber frame construction as well as quality design and installation, sharing Pinefield’s commitment to quality, efficiency and sustainable building practices.
We recently spoke with Mike Rowson, procurement manager at Brudon Joinery, to discuss its long-standing partnership with Pinefield Glass and the impact it has on their projects.
How long have you worked with Pinefield Glass? And what made you choose them?
“Brudon has worked with Pinefield Glass for 12 years. We chose them because of their reputation for quality and reliability, as well as their focus on sustainability and customer satisfaction. Pinefield’s selection of high-performance external joinery products align perfectly with our business, helping us deliver homes that are both energy-efficient and visually appealing.”

Can you tell us more about how you work with Pinefield Glass? Which products/services do you use?
“Our collaboration focuses on bespoke windows, doors and shaped gable features, all tailored to each of our projects. Whether we’re working on large-scale building schemes or full turnkey developments, there’s a strong synergy between Brudon and Pinefield. Their team understands the demands of complex projects and supports us at every stage, ensuring the final installation meets our exacting standards.”
How does Pinefield’s quality and supply support make your installation work easier or more efficient?
“Pinefields expertise in off-site construction and modern methods of construction (MMC) has been invaluable. By ensuring our timber frame packages are carefully looked after from design through to completion, they make our installation process far smoother. We can trust that the products arriving on site are accurate, high-quality and ready to install – saving time and reducing potential delays.”

Are there any particular aspects of Pinefield’s overall service that you really value?
“Sustainability is an essential part of our partnership. Both Brudon and Pinefield prioritise environmentally responsible products and practices across the supply chain. Knowing that Pinefield can consistently deliver on this gives us confidence and it’s become a key part of our ongoing agreement.”
Can you share a specific example or project where Pinefield’s products or support made a notable difference for you or your client?
“On a recent project, a large uPVC screen was damaged on site, through no fault of either Pinefield or Brudon. Through discussion and to support the end client, Brudon de-glazed the screen to save costs and Pinefield supplied a new screen free of charge. The contractor then reinstalled it without issue.
“This was a terrific example of teamwork and collaboration, with everyone working together to deliver the best outcome for the client.”

How would you describe your working relationship with the Pinefield Glass team?
“The relationship is excellent. The fact that the Brudon team exclusively requests Pinefield products is about as big a compliment we, as a manufacturer, can give. The team is approachable, dependable and always willing to go the extra mile, which makes managing projects much easier.”
What makes Pinefield Glass stand out compared to other companies you’ve worked with?
“It’s the fantastic collaboration and professionalism. Nothing is ever an issue for them and they offer quick turnarounds both at the quotation stage and on delivery. Combined with their high-quality products and personal approach, Pinefield Glass consistently delivers value and reliability that’s hard to find elsewhere.”
